First, NAV is not a boat owner. From what I can piece together, they are a broker to NavTours which is now owned by Dream Yacht Charters. But by booking through "NAV" you are put through the DYC in Europe, then the info sent to DYC in the Bahamas. "NAV" responded very quickly during booking but once booked responded multiple times that they were "getting on a charter" so could only sporadically answer questions. You can also never actually speak with NAV on the phone for questions. After countless requests, I was able to speak with the Captain and Chef prior to getting on the boat but the Captain was changed to someone different the day of the charter.
With all of these layers A LOT of information was lost. The boat pictured was not what we received. These are stock photos and there were differences in the actual boat. Example - seating on the bow. The boat was only 2 years old but was worn and had many maintenance issues. Broken door handle to bathroom (stuck in bathroom!), broken lever on bathroom window (flooded bathroom while sailing), low batter (3am low battery alarm).
Our preference sheet was never received by the Chef, our transportation wasn't at the airport as scheduled and may other missed pieces.
We have chartered multiple times and have never had such a poor booking experience. I would not recommend booking through NAV.
Lovely group of professional women, who also loved our pooch onboard.
Second time sailing with Captain Peter - was a great time!
Bogdan was an excellent guest. He was very responsive and reasonable with his requests. We would love to have him again in the future!
